About this Conference: | Certain types of hereditary cancers increase a person's risk for developing cancer
due to an inherited gene mutation. Haley Pace, MS, LCGC at Wellmont Cancer Institute
will discuss American Joint Commission on Cancer (AJCC) staging in clinical cases
of genetic risk assessment and State National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN)
Treatment Guidelines used in genetic risk assessment. Ms. Pace will also explain prognostic
indicators related to genetic testing and discuss the referral process and genetic
testing techniques to include the following:
