About this Conference: | This conference will review the mechanisms of acute and chronic pain and discuss the
most effective treatments. In most cases of acute and chronic pain there are treatments
that are more effective and have better outcomes than opioids. This class will also
address the brain changes that occur with opioid use that can lead to aberrant behavior
and addiction. It will educate providers on the most effective treatments of opioid
