Bhavesh Gajjar MD MPH FACP, earned his medical degree from the Smt. NHL Medical College, Ahmedabad, India. He completed the master's of public health in Epidemiology at ETSU and earned an MPH degree. Subsequently, he completed in residency at Nassau University Medical Center followed by a year of chief residency at ETSU. Before joining ETSU Dr. Gajjar worked as a teaching faculty at Macon GA and Athens GA where he has been very active with teaching and supervising students and residents. Dr. Gajjar came back to ETSU for the desire to continue to be a part of the teaching faculty. During the first few years, he served as the site director for Veterans Affairs hospital. He has been very active in every committee to improve residents' experience during their training.
He enjoys working as a teaching hospitalist and supervising medical students and residents. During hospital rotations, he also enjoys working on quality improvement, high-value care, and improving efficiency. His goal is to train competent, empathic, and professional providers while providing excellent teaching and research opportunities.
