Welcome to eJobs Update – Applicant Reviewer. Applicant Reviewers will have access to the applications and resumes and can move applicants to different work states. Typically supervisors, search committee chairs or hiring managers are assigned as Applicant Reviewers and will be responsible for moving applicants to Not Recommended for Interview, through the review workflow and for submitting a Recommend for Hire.
Welcome to the new eJobs - Starting a Posting. In this lesson you will learn how to start a job posting and submit it for approval. To begin, click Next or select an option from the menu.
You have completed the Introductory lesson. Use the Menu on the left to navigate to any part of the lesson or close your browser window to exit.
To review a posting as an Applicant Reviewer, log onto the eJobs system using your ETSU username and password. Verify or select Applicant Reviewer as your Current User Group.
On the Search screen, select the posting or search using the posting number or position title. The search results shows the number of active applications for each posting. Click on the position title to view the posting and applicants.
Select the Applicants tab. Select the applicant name. Scroll to review the application. If the applicant uploaded a document, click on the document name to open it. You can view and print a pdf version of the application by the View button. Click Generate at the bottom of the screen to create a single pdf that includes the application along with the applicant’s uploaded documents. You can use the “breadcrumb” navigation banner at the top of the screen and click Applicant Review to navigate back to the applicant list to review other applicants for this posting.
To change the state of an individual application, select the applicant and click Take Action On Job Application and select the appropriate work state. You can view and print sample workflows by clicking the Attachments button on the player. In this example, let’s move this application to Solicit Letters of Recommendation. On the popup screen, click Submit to send an email to each of the applicant’s references requesting recommendation.
To change the state of multiple applicants, return to the Applicant Review screen. Check the box next to the applicants to move or check the box in the header to select all. Hover over the main actions button and select Move in Workflow. Chose a work state for each applicant based on their current state. Enter a reason if required. Choose the best option from the list that matches your reason for the change. Select Other only when none of the options in the list apply. If you select Other, you must enter your reason. Click Save Changes to update the applications. When you have completed the applicant review process and submitted a state of Request to Hire for an applicant, contact the hiring manager to start the hiring proposal.
