The Honors College Community
Midway Honors scholars (MHS) enjoy many benefits of being an honors student at ETSU
The Midway Honors Scholars program has a unique curriculum, scholarship opportunities, and an exceptional community of honors scholars, faculty, and staff. This community will welcome you to campus, challenge you to think critically, and assist you with your research interests. Scholars apply discipline-specific knowledge and acquire research or creative skills, under the direction of a faculty mentor help to improve future employment and graduate or professional education opportunities.
MHS Scholarship (4 semesters)
Midway Honors Scholarships are $7,000 per year for two years.
In addition to major/minor and pre-professional advisers, Midway Honors Scholars receive individual advising with the MHS program director through the Honors College, helping to make sure students are on track to meet goals and graduate on time.
Honors students are permitted to register for courses early, which insures an opportunity to register for desired courses that best fit with their schedule.
Midway Scholars have access to honors student spaces with computers and free printing.
Midway Honors Scholars have the opportunity to serve on the Honors College Student Council and other Honors College ad hoc committees in order to have input as to the Honors experience at ETSU. Scholars are encouraged to serve on boards and committees, provide service to the community and campus, and join international, national and regional organizations.
Social Events and Activities
The Honors College regularly hosts co-curricular and social events for members of the honors community.
