    LinkedIn Learning is a leading online learning platform that helps anyone learn business, software, technology, and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals.  Whether you want to brush up on Excel, improve your presentation skills, learn how to use Photoshop or become a networking whiz, LinkedIn Learning can help you get there. The online learning site offers thousands of online videos taught by industry experts. Courses range from beginner to advanced and cover a vast array of business, software and creative skills—from professional certificates to personal hobbies.

    Certificates of Completion

    Certificates of Completion are certifications for courses you have completed on LinkedIn Learning. Upon completion of a course, a certificate is automatically generated that can be viewed and shared online. Visit the LinkedIn website for more information about Certificates of Completion.

    Supervisory Approval for Employees

    Supervisory approval is required if employees participate in training during their regular work hours outside of HR on-boarding and Performance Evaluation assignments.

    Can I download courses and content to view when I'm not connected to the internet?

    Yes, downloading of LinkedIn Learning courses and videos is available on mobile devices. Simply download the LinkedIn Learning app to your device. Log in to the app with your ETSU credentials. Find the course / video you wish to download. Click the Download button on the left side of the screen. You can now watch the video without a connection.

    Am I required to have a LinkedIn Profile to use this service?

    You do not need a LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn Learning, but it can be beneficial to you.  Additionally, there are some aspects of the LinkedIn Learning platform that will require you to use or link a LinkedIn profile.

    We take your privacy seriously, so only your basic profile information (e.g. name, job title, skills, photo) will be shared. ETSU administrators will not see your private LinkedIn activity.

    How do I connect my LinkedIn Learning Certificates of Completion to my LinkedIn Profile?

    Why can't I sign in to LinkedIn Learning using my ETSU email address?

    LinkedIn Learning is only available to current ETSU students and full-time faculty and staff.

    If you are are a current student or full-time faculty or staff, and you are having issues logging in, please visit the Activation Page.  Then, you will need to follow the steps in your LinkedIn Learning email. 

    *You will only need to do the account activation once - the first time you log in.  If you continue to have questions, please contact the ITS Help Desk.

    I'm able to log in to LinkedIn Learning, but I still need help.
