What is THRIVE?
THRIVE is an outreach program dedicated to increasing campus awareness and engagement around the prevention of suicide and violence. We also want to help when it comes to building resilience when it comes to mental health on our campus. Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress—such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors. As much as resilience involves “bouncing back” from these difficult experiences, it can also involve profound personal growth.
Our primary efforts are to provide workshops and trainings to ETSU students and staff that will increase awareness around the importance of mental health on campus and promotes the prevention of suicide and violence.
If you would like to schedule one of these workshops or trainings for your classroom, organization, or meeting, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
