Biomedical Sciences Concentration
Biomedical Sciences Concentration (New since Fall 2022)
The Department of Biological Sciences has started to offer a new Concentration in Biomedical Sciences since the fall of 2022. It is a joint concentration between the Department of Biological Sciences and the Department of Health Sciences. This concentration is specifically designed for biology major students who are interested in careers in medicine, Dental School, Vet School, Pharmacy Health Care, Graduate School, Biotech Industry. Faculty teaching courses in the concentration also offer research experience.

Natural Resource Ecology Concentration
Natural Resource Ecology Concentration (Starting Fall 2023)
The Department of Biological Sciences is excited to offer a new Concentration in Natural Resource Ecology starting in Fall 2023. This concentration is specifically designed for biology major students who are interested in careers in wildlife biology, fisheries, forestry, and conservation biology. Several new faculties are being hired to teach courses in this concentration.

Biochemistry Concentration
Biochemistry Concentration
This is a joint concentration with the Departments of Biological Science and Chemistry (College of Arts and Sciences) and the Department of Biomedical Sciences (Quillen College of Medicine). The major is designed for students who plan to enter professions such as biology, biochemistry, science education, medicine, veterinary medicine, agriculture, conservation, and the biotechnology industry. Some of our courses may be appropriate for students in other fields of study who desire to acquaint themselves with the phenomena of living organisms. Faculties teaching courses offer undergraduate research experiences.
