I became passionate about Communication Studies at East Tennessee State University, where I received my bachelors degree. I went on to earn my mater's also at ETSU in Professional Communication. After earning my master’s degree, I became a lecturer at ETSU in 2004. Throughout the years, ETSU has truly become home. My colleagues have grown into my work family, making this a truly special place. Outside my role in the classroom, I am the graduation advisor for the department and feel fortunate to work with every undergraduate student as they prepare to graduate—helping guide them through one of the most exciting milestones of their college experience.

Most afternoons and weekends, you will find our family on a soccer pitch, volleyball court, basketball court, or track. In our spare time, we love to be out on the lake. Additionally, we love to travel and experience other cultures around the world.
