Biography
I enjoyed all my math classes in high school, and since I had more hours in math courses than any other subject in college, I decided to finish my degree in math. I am from Elizabethton and ETSU was close by. I love helping students in this region overcome their fear of math. Being from Carter County, I speak their language, and I can put "into plain and simple English" mathematical concepts that may be difficult to understand. I enjoy helping our students get through their required math class successfully, so they can get their degree and get on with their life.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my little grandson. We like to picnic in our beautiful East Tennessee mountains and take frequent trips to the beach.
