Jake VanHuss is an artist, writer, and filmmaker based in East Tennessee. He has an MFA in Narrative Media Writing from the University of Georgia, where he focused in screenwriting for film and television; a master’s in engineering technology from ETSU where he focused in digital media & visual effects; and a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in speech and theatre from Middle Tennessee State University. Jake has worked for various marketing firms, both locally and remotely, producing graphics, podcast series, promotional videos, and other projects in support of numerous promotional campaigns. He has also operated his own freelance design and video production business on a local and remote basis since 2008 for clients such as Oregon State University, ADP, Coca-Cola, We Run Events, and ETSU. A lifelong horror fan, Jake is also the founder and event organizer of Highlands Horrorfest, a regional short horror film competition and celebration.
