“My experience in the Department of Media and Communication has honestly been amazing,”
she said. “Through this program I have gotten opportunities both in and outside of
the classroom. Writing for the East Tennessean has been one of the greatest experiences
of my college career so far, and I have learned so much through writing for them.
In terms of class, I have gotten to work with professors who genuinely care about
me and my education. I have felt so supported all the way, and these classes make
me excited for what my future holds in the world of journalism.”
Kate is a Fine and Performing Arts Scholar in the ETSU Honors College and co-captain of the ETSU Dance Team. Additionally, she teaches and choreographs for a local dance studio in Johnson City
