Mission Statement
Our mission is to advance the field of occupational voice ergonomics through national
and international collaboration and innovation. By fostering a global network of researchers,
we aim to facilitate continuous data sharing and collaborative projects that lead
to impactful research and active participation in academic forums. Additionally, we
attempt to lead academic discourse by organizing conferences, seminars, and forums
that address critical issues in occupational voice ergonomics, positioning our consortium
as a thought leader and authoritative voice in the field.
Main aims:
Aim 1: Facilitate Continued Collaboration
Data Sharing Infrastructure: Develop and maintain a secure, user-friendly platform
for data sharing among consortium members.
Research Publications: Ensure the production of high-quality research papers by setting
annual publication targets and providing support for manuscript preparation and submission.
Conference Participation: Encourage and support consortium members to present their
research at international conferences, aiming for a minimum number of presentations
each year.
Aim 2: Secure External Funding
Grant Proposal Development: Form a dedicated team to identify funding opportunities
and prepare comprehensive grant proposals.
Funding Success Rate: Aim to secure at least one major grant from agencies like NIH
or NSF within the first three years.
Diversified Funding Sources: To ensure financial sustainability, explore and apply
for funding from various sources, including private foundations and industry partnerships.
Aim 3: Organize Academic Activities
Annual Conference: Host an annual international conference on occupational voice ergonomics,
attracting leading researchers and practitioners in the field, as well as occupational
voice users and policymakers.
Seminars and Workshops: Organize regular seminars and workshops to facilitate knowledge
exchange and professional development among consortium members.
Thought Leadership: Publish position papers and policy recommendations to influence
