About this Conference:

This half-day conference will focus on the clinical anatomy of the neck and airway, clinical approaches to airway management and tracheal intubation, equipment review, return demonstration of intubation utilizing soft-embalmed cadavers, applied anatomy review, return demonstration of surgical airway management, and simulation lab scenarios pertaining to airway management. The conference will include a didactic lecture, hands-on interprofessional education in the simulation lab, and experiential learning opportunities in the anatomy lab to practice technique, along with advance preparation in airway anatomy via 3D goggles and VR Anatomy software.

Overall Conference Objectives:

As a result of attending this activity, the participant will be able to:

Recognize indications for intubation
Distinguish the appropriate approach to airway management in different clinical scenarios
Identify relevant anatomy
Review required equipment for intubation
Demonstrate appropriate intubation technique
Demonstrate appropriate surgical airway management technique
Recognize the indicators of a successful intubation
Discuss risks and potential adverse outcomes pertaining to airway management

Cancellation Policy:

Registration fees are refundable less a $50.00 administrative fee, for cancellations received in writing a minimum of 14 days prior to the activity date. Refunds are not provided when the registration fee is $50.00 or less, or when a cancellation request is received less than 14 days prior to the start of the activity.

ETSU Quillen College of Medicine reserves the right to cancel CME activities. If an activity is cancelled, registrants will receive a full refund.
