About this Conference: This activity will provide training on addiction and proper prescribing of medications for addiction treatment (MAT). Educating healthcare providers should help to alleviate preconceived ideas about treatment of opioid use disorder and ultimately reduce the number of patients obtaining certain classes of narcotics.

Target Audience: All health care professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, and dentists
Overall Conference Objectives:

As a result of attending this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify best practices for prescribing opioids for pain
  • Understand the comparative effectiveness of medications for addiction treatment (MAT)
  • Address opioid use in women of childbearing age

Registration fees are refundable less a $50.00 administrative fee, for cancellations received in writing a minimum of 14 days prior to the activity date. Refunds are not provided when the registration fee is $50.00 or less, or when a cancellation request is received less than 14 days prior to the start of the activity.
