The Athletic Administration graduate certificate provides aspiring professionals the opportunity to prepare for athletic administration positions. This may include sports management professionals, middle and high school teachers, junior college teachers, or athletic directors. Trained administrators can better serve schools and universities by improving the student-athlete experience, reducing potential liabilities, and overseeing budgets.
Students will learn more about the sports industry, engage in experiential learning, and grow their professional network.

There is a need for high-quality athletic administrators who oversee various aspects of sports programs within educational institutions or sports organizations.
Students gain knowledge and practical experience in legal issues, administration of athletics, sports marketing, sports financing, facilities management, and other issues in sports management.

With approval from the program coordinator, all 18 certificate credits may apply toward the M.S. Sport Management degree.
