Early Childhood Education
Overview
East Tennessee State University's M.A. Early Childhood Education, Early Care and Education Concentration, is a non-licensure master's degree. It is designed for teachers who already have licensure and are looking to get a master's degree. It is also designed for graduate students who are not teachers, but who are interested in earning a master's degree that will enable them to work in other early childhood settings outside public schools.
The Department of Early Childhood Education believes that students and faculty are reflective partners actively engaged in a continual learning process to gain the knowledge, skills and dispositions to be teachers, researchers, professionals and leaders in early care and education.
