Yaritza Abdelnour is a native of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, the most beautiful country in South America, home of the world's highest waterfall, "Angel Falls". She and her husband Carlos, and their two daughters, moved to the United States in August 2000. They left behind their large and beloved family in search of professional opportunities and a better future for their young daughters. Yaritza came to ETSU in 2010 with over 25 years of experience in administrative work in the private sector. Prior to joining the Office of Academic Affairs at the Gatton College of Pharmacy, she worked at the College of Nursing as an Information Research Technician for the Office of Practice and Community Health Centers, where she gained her first administrative experience in an institution of higher education.
Yaritza holds an Associate Degree in Physical and Financial Resources from Fermin Toro University in Venezuela. Before moving to the US, Yari worked for more than 10 years as an Insurance broker managing her family's insurance agency.
