Numbering of ETSU Publications

Policy Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to provide explanation for the numbering process required for ETSU publications.

• Policy Statement

   All publications produced for distribution outside ETSU (and certain publications that are not normally produced for outside distribution) are required to carry an ETSU publications number which requires specific quality and cost monitoring procedures that relate to publications. This requirement applies regardless of state, grant, or private funding sources or where the job is produced.

   ETSU, Tennessee Code Annotated Section 12-7-104-106.
• Definitions

  Publications: Includes magazines, brochures, flyers, invitations, programs, posters, or other printed materials.

• Procedure History

  The Editorial Assistant in the Office of University Marketing and Communications will

  ·         Review all publications to determine if an ETSU number is required. 

  ·         Issue an ETSU number if required
