Online SAI How Tos for Faculty
In Fall 2020, ETSU began administering the course evaluations online through a service
called Course Evaluations & Surveys (formerly EvaluationKit) by Watermark.
Please note the system is not compatible with Safari or FireFox internet browsers,
so please use another browser, such as Chrome or Edge.
Faculty no longer have access to the CourseEval results prior to Fall 2020 as the
contract has expired.
Instructions on accessing course evaluation results can be found here.
If you have any comments or questions, please contact Megan Miller at millerme2@etsu.edu.
Improving Response Rates
- Urge your students to complete the course evaluation for your course; make it clear
that you really want them to do so.
- Stress that the University takes every precaution to maintain confidentialty of personally
identifiable information when processing survey results. Student names and other
information are not associated with the surveys at any time.
- Explain to students how you use course evaluation results to improve your instruction
or course content; for instance, show them how you used results from a previous term
to improve the course students are taking with you now.
- Frequently remind students to complete their course evaluations during the period
when the surveys are open.
- Online course evaluations are mobile friendly, so consider having students complete course evaluations in class using mobile devices.
- ETSU's Center for Teaching Excellence also has some helpful tips to increase survey response rates on their website.
