East Tennessee State University's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has developed a multidisciplinary team to serve children who are at-risk for or in state custody. The State of Tennessee has designated our program a Center of Excellence for Children in State Custody.
Our services extend to eight Northeast Tennessee counties: Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington.
The ETSU COE is part of a statewide network of five regional Centers of Excellence dedicated to improving behavioral and physical health services by providing consultation for children with complex medical, behavioral, psychological, and psychiatric problems.
Mobile Crisis Response Services (1-877-928-9062)
Frontier Health's Mobile Crisis Response Team provides mental health and co-occurring disorder crisis services in the Northeast Tennessee counties (Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington).
Crisis services include assessment and referral for individuals and families who are experiencing an acute emotional and/or substances abuse crisis. The Crisis Team responds to emergencies as requested in the community.
Locations include regional medical centers, schools, community services agencies, physician's office and detention centers.
The Mobile Crisis Response Team services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
