The Little Bucs childcare program provides assistance with locating childcare and identifying possible funding subsidies for current students with children between the ages of 5 weeks to 6 years old. Childcare may be available at the Ballad Center for Early Learning at ETSU on Signal Drive, at another Ballad childcare facility through a reciprocal agreement, or by another licensed childcare provider or agency in the state of Tennessee. Childcare assistance is subject to availability at all sites.
The Little Bucs childcare program also provides assistance to student parents in the form of workshops, trainings, and group meeting opportunities.
ETSU was awarded a CCAMPIS grant that can provide childcare funding assistance to students who qualify. Additionally, the university sets aside a portion of student fees each year to assist students with their childcare costs. State subsidies are also available to some students. The childcare funding coordinator can discuss benefits eligibility one-on-one with each student.
