Transfer Checklist

 

Step 1 - Talk to an Admissions Academic Advisor for Transfer

Reach out to your transfer advisor with any
questions you may have about course transfer/evaluation,
transcripts, or any part of the transfer process.

Step 2 - Apply for Admission as a Transfer Student


Complete the undergraduate application and submit the non-refundable $25 application fee by visiting www.etsu.edu/apply

 

Step 3 - Submit Official Academic Transcripts


Request that official copies (sealed, unopened version) of college transcripts be sent directly to ETSU Undergraduate Admissions from the accrediting institution.

 

Step 4 - Verify your residency


All students that apply will need to send a simple smart phone picture to us. You can email your driver’s license photo to documents@etsu.edu and we can get that added to your account.

Step 5 - Fill out the FAFSA


Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
and list ETSU as your first school in the “School Selection” section.

New Transfer Acaemic Performance Scholarships

  • Elevate Transfer APS
    • $1,500 per year
    • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
    • 24 earned credit hours
    • Students starting in the Fall: Final transcripts must be received by the ETSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions by August 1 to be considered for this scholarship.
    • Students starting in the Spring:  Final transcripts must be received by the ETSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the first day of spring classes, as published in the Academic Calendar, to be considered for this scholarship.
    • Resident of TN or one of the following border counties: North Carolina; Ashe, Avery, Haywood, Madison, Mitchell, Watauga, Yancey, Virginia; Grayson, Lee, Scott, Washington.
    • Renewal Requirements: Maintain a 2.5 term GPA, a 2.5 cumulative GPA, and enroll in and pass at least 15 credit hours each semester (not including Learning Support courses), unless approved to enroll in less via appeal.
    • Scholarships are renewable for a total of 6 semesters (fall and spring only) if all requirements are met.
    • Students may not receive a Transfer APS in addition to any of the following scholarships: Academic Officers Transfer, Coca-Cola, All-TN Team Member, Midway, Quillen, Honors-in-Discipline, Math & Science, Music APS, Changemaker Scholars or Volunteer State Student Assistance.
  • Summit Transfer APS
    • $3,000 per year
    • Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
    • 24 earned credit hours
    • Students starting in the Fall: Final transcripts must be received by the ETSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions by August 1 to be considered for this scholarship.
    • Students starting in the Spring: Final transcripts must be received by the ETSU Office of Undergraduate Admissions by the first day of spring classes, as published in the Academic Calendar, to be considered for this scholarship.
