"The Interior Architecture program was a very rewarding experience. I created lifelong
friendships and worked with others, which is what Studio Culture is all about. Going
to Rome allowed me to further step out of my comfort zone and allowed me the chance
to apply what I was learning in the classroom. Experiencing a new culture and and
immersing myself into the Roman lifestyle allowed me to adapt to new situations. The
Professors were very knowledgeable and understanding. They taught us a lot inside
the classroom, but they also taught us invaluable life lessons that can be taken into
the working world."
Jackie Wessner (2016)
Interior Designer, Mountain Home VA Medical Center, Johnson City, TN
I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for my professors. They helped to tailor my education to match the direction of where I wanted to go in interior design. By being able to focus my skills, I found my perfect job right out of school. The best learning experience was my 10 weeks spent in Italy where I earned a whole semesters worth of credit. It was amazing. My school experience has brought nothing but amazing things for me and I couldn't have asked for a better school experience
Caryn Brahams (2015)

"My involvement in ETSU's Interior Design program has undoubtedly been the most rewarding educational experience I could have hoped for. The experienced faculty, collaborative environment, and diverse course material and technologies are just some of the qualities which shaped my abilities and enabled me to land my first career position months before I even graduated from the program. The offerings beyond the classroom such as professional organizations and study abroad opportunities further encouraged me to unearth my passions. I value the knowledge and vision the program has instilled in me and would give it my highest recommendation."
Nicole Oran (2015),
Interior Designer, Commercial Environments, Knoxville, TN
I cannot express how grateful I am for the interior design program at ETSU! I was constantly challenged and pushed to think outside of the box to create solutions to problems in real world applications. Now I find myself constantly recalling the things I learned and advice I got from such amazing and dedicated professors. Because of their constructive feedback and incredible scopes of knowledge, I feel I was truly prepared to begin my professional career.
Monica Warwick (2013)
Inredningsarkitekt, Gothenburg, Sweden
"It wasn’t studying fire codes or the style of Le Corbusier, it was learning to be adaptable that was most important. Working in another country, I’ve realized that codes vary, trends change, and every client is different, but from my time studying, I learned how to adapt and gain more knowledge with every project. The professors in this program develop a strong base for their students to build upon everyday as professionals. I’m very thankful for their shaping me into an unceasing student of design."
Danielle Brown (2012)
Interior Designer, Forest Millwork, Ashville, NC
I just wanted to drop a HUGE thank to the interior design program. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have such caring faculty who gave great advice, no matter how hard it was to swallow.
Tomorrow is my first day at A-Z Office Resources. I'm prepared for the challenge because I know I've been taught well, and that is the biggest comfort of all. I couldn't be happier with my first professional job, fresh out of college.
Ashley Byrd (2011)

For me Interior Design is about passion; a passion to help others enhance their quality of life. While at ETSU I saw-witnessed the passion that my professors had for Interior Design and I found it contagious. I’m so thankful for my education from ETSU. The challenges I faced while in school have molded me into the designer that I am today. Thank you ETSU Interior Design Department for the encouragement, knowledge, and passion that you have bestowed upon me
