In-State Tuition at East Tennessee State University
No matter the state of residency, all students currently using a GI Bill® benefit (including family members) are eligible for the in-state tuition rate if they meet all three of the following criteria:
- Are residing in the state of Tennessee while attending
- Are attending a Tennessee Institute of Higher Learning; and
- Are using a chapter of the GI Bill®.
Tennessee STRONG Act
The STRONG Act is a "last-dollar" tuition reimbursement program for first-time degree seeking TN National Guard members. Contact our office for more information.
Yellow Ribbon Scholarship
The Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) provides matching funds from the Department of Veterans Affairs as a supplement to the Post - 9/11 GI Bill®. Contact our office for more information on your eligibility.
Buc Hero Scholarship
The Buc Hero Scholarship covers up to 100% out-of-state costs and is intended to assist out-of-state veterans and military family members who do not qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship.
To be eligible the applicant must have served (or be currently serving) as a member of the Guard, Reserves, or Active Duty, and released from the military under "Honorable" conditions. Applicants must provide a copy of form DD-214 (Discharge from Active Duty).
