About ACEs

The Advisor Committee for Engagement (ACEs) serves as a collaborative body that fosters connection in the advising community. The team provides a forum for collaboration and community building to establish a sense of belonging among professional academic advisors.  

Working in partnership with the Office of the Executive Director of Academic Advisement, ACE members support collective well-being that enhances advisor engagement and student success.

Mission

ACEs is committed to fostering a supportive approach to academic advising by: 

  • Hosting social events for advisors to engage meaningfully with one another
  • Hosting relationship-building activities to strengthen partnership within the advising community
  • Promoting a supportive network for shared experiences and collective well-being
  • Promoting space for advisor recoginition and appreciation

Membership

Membership on the Advisor Committee for Engagement (ACEs) is led by the Office of the Executive Director of Academic Advisement (OEDAA) staff - the Associate Director of Advisement Training and Technology, the Navigate Coordinator, and OEDAA Graduate Assistant - with representatives from academic colleges and the University Advisement Center (UAC).

ACEs meet once a semester on Zoom. Additional meetings may be held as needed.
