Meetings will be held in Multicultural Center meeting room located in the Culp Center.


Executive Committee Meeting – 1st Tuesday of every month from 11:30am – 12:30pm.


BFSA General Body Meeting – 3rd Thursday of every month from 12:00pm – 1:00pm inside the

    • 6th Annual Equity and Inclusion Conference Volunteer Opportunity

This is a fantastic chance to contribute to our university’s ongoing efforts in promoting continuing education and professional development in the areas of equity and inclusion.

    • ETSU Homecoming & Tailgating Party
      • Saturday, October 5th – Tailgating | 8:00 am -3:00 pm
      • Black Alumni Association will cater the food; BFSA will provide individually wrapped desserts.
Members are asked to donate and deliver desserts to C. Reid in the MCC office.
      • The goal is to have 150 to 300 desserts donated.
    • ETSU Family Day (Football Game) – Saturday, November 9th

    February 2023 Honorary Coaches

    Ms. Joy Fulkerson was honored as an Honorary Coach  on Thursday, February 18, 2023 as the Lady Bucs took on Wofford College.

    Dr. Christel Young was honored as an Honorary Coach  on Saturday, February 20, 2023 as the Lady Bucs took on Fruman University.

    2022 Notable Women Award

    Congratulations to Dr. Cerone Foster on being awarded the2022 Notable Women by ETSU's Women's, Gender and Seculatiy Studies program.

    Wedding Nuptials

    Join us in congratulating Dr. Christel Young on her marriage to James Graham on March 12, 2022.

    Assistant Director of Leadership and Service in the Office of Intercultural Engagement and Leadership at Texas A&M University, Commerce

    Congratulations to Jay Guillory who has been appointed to the position of Assistant Director of Leadership and Service at Texas A&M, Commerce. Join in his farewell reception May 27, 2022 from 2-4 PM at the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center.

    Associate Director of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities

    Dr. Cerrone Foster has been appointed to the position of Associate Director of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities. Dr. Foster will be engaged in strategic planning for expansion of student engagement in research. She is responsible for identifying sources of external funding, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting with planning and implementation of events and internal funding programs.

    Interim Director of the Multicultural Center

    Dr. Steve Ellis was appointed at the interim director of the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center at ETSU.  His appointment began December 2021.

    ETSU Athletics Most Valuable Professor 2022

    Dr. Christel Young was honored at ETSU's Athletic Department's Most Valuable Professor (MVP) on Saturday, January 22, 2022 as the Lady Bucs took on Western Carolina University. Dr. Young started at ETSU on July 1, 2021 as a clinical instructor and Director of Using Information Technology.
