The Mockingbird
Submission deadline for The Mockingbird is November 1, 2022.
The Mockingbird is the student literary magazine published by the East Tennessee State University Department of Literature and Language.
The Mockingbird staff and contributors are all students, some submitting their creative works for the first time. Traditionally, the call for literary submissions occurs early during the fall semesters. We encourage all ETSU students, regardless of major, to participate in creating The Mockingbird.
Tanner Linkous is editor of The Mockingbird’s 50th volume, scheduled to appear in spring 2023.
Tanner Linkous is a second-year graduate student interested in nineteenth century Gothic novels. He graduated from ETSU with an undergraduate degree in English with a double minor in Creative Writing and Philosophy in 2021. Tanner's poem "Turning Off for the Day" appeared in the 2022 edition of The Mockingbird. He lives on campus and is always either working on his thesis or reading.
Thank you for visiting our website; if you are an ETSU student, we hope to receive some of your work for consideration for an upcoming issue of The Mockingbird.
