Tuition Information
Tuition is billed on a per-semester basis. Payment plans are available and should be discussed with the Community Music School Executive Aide (musicschool@etsu.edu). Full payment policies can be found on our Student Policies page.There is a one-time New Student Fee of $50, $25 of which is NON-refundable and is due at the time of submission of a new student application. All remaining tuition and fees are due by the stated deadline before classes commence, unless awaiting financial aid or on an approved payment arrangement.
Semester schedules typically follow the ETSU Academic Calendar, however some extensions to lesson terms can be made with prior arrangement through the teacher and pre-payment to the administrator. Private lesson times are arranged between the student and the instructor and are held weekly on the ETSU campus according to the ETSU academic calendar.
Tuition for Private Lessons:NEW FOR SPRING 25! Students can now choose from lesson packages for more flexibility in cost and scheduling. Tuition for each lesson package per semester is listed below. Lessons are scheduled across the semester based on the ETSU academic calendar and are arranged between the student and instructor.
30 mins/lesson for 6 lessons - $200/semester
30 mins/lesson for 12 lessons - $400/semester
45 mins/lesson for 6 lessons - $300/semester
45 mins/lesson for 12 lessons - $600/semester
60 mins/lesson for 6 lessons - $400/semester
60 mins/lesson for 12 lessons - $800/semester

Tuition for Orchestras and Small Ensembles:
Click on the "Orchestras" or "Small Ensembles" tabs on the left for information about auditions and rehearsal times.- Chamber Orchestra = $250 per semester
- Sinfonia Orchestra = $150 per semester
- Music Theory Group Class = $150 per semester

Scholarship & Financial Need
Scholarships are available and will be awarded based on financial need and level of musical ability.Families interested in applying for scholarships must submit accurate information regarding their financial circumstances, which may include tax returns upon request.
This request must be submitted EACH semester applied.
