The Developmental Psychopathology lab conducts research on the risk and protective
factors for youth mental health. We are interested in how youth learn about emotions
from interacting with others, and how this affects their emotion regulation, social
adjustment, and mental health. We also consider how these processes differ by youth
gender, sociocultural context, and development stage.
Our lab is dedicated to translating this research to clinical practice with children and families, to promote positive youth outcomes.
