Scholarships
Graduate Assistantships (GA)
The Physical Therapy program offers four 1/2 time Graduate Assistantships (GA) positions in each entering class of entry-level DPT students. In order to be considered for a GA position, the student must have been admitted to the ETSU Physical Therapy program.

In addition to GA scholarship opportunities, benefactors have graciously provided donations in support of ETSU DPT education scholarships. Students enrolled in the 2nd year of the ETSU DPT program are eligible to apply for the following scholarship opportunities and will be notified regarding the application process. Additional information can be located in the DPT Student Handbook.
PT Pros/Hauser Family Scholarship
The purpose of the PT Pros/Hauser Scholarship Endowment is to provide assistance to deserving students enrolled in the Physical Therapy program. Dr. Connie Davis Hauser, ETSU Class of 1971, is a partner in PT Pros, a physical therapy company with clinical sites in Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina.
William M. "Mac" Hensley Scholarship
The William M. "Mac" Hensley Scholarship was established to honor a man who has given unselfishly of his time, talents, and skills to the community and profession. Recipients must have completed four semesters in the DPT program and are selected for academic, clinical, and professional excellence in physical therapy.
Paul E. and Nancy Stanton Family Scholarship
Established by Dr. and Mrs. Paul E. Stanton, Jr. to help fund the education of a deserving
physical therapy student who has documented financial hardship.
Dr. Duane Williams PT Founders Scholarship
Established by Dr. Williams, founding chair of the ETSU physical therapy program, applicants for this scholarship must demonstrate potential leadership ability in the profession. A pioneering spirit and servant attitude should be reflected in their engagement with extracurricular groups and/or activities. Students must demonstrate financial need to be awarded this scholarship.
