FIRSTS (Fostering Individual Relationships and Support Towards Success) Mentoring Program A mentoring program for first generation students that pairs first generation undergraduate students enrolled within the Clemmer College of Education and Human Development with faculty and staff members who identify as first generation themselves. This program aims to increase representation on campus, cultivate a close knit and informal relationship between a student and a trusted faculty/staff member, break down barriers, celebrate First-Gen identity, and offer individualized support to students. The FIRSTS Mentoring Program also includes programming surrounding financial literacy and professional development workshops for students to participate in. |
