Program Mission
The mission of the Johnson City Family Medicine Residency Program is to provide community-focused medical education and evidence-based, patient-centered care, improve the health of rural southern Appalachia and advance scholarly investigation.
Program Goals
Residents in the Johnson City Family Medicine Residency Program will:
- Provide evidence-based, patient-centered medical care

Educational Experiences
Residents participate in an individualized educational program designed to meet their long-term career goals. Elective opportunities are available to support individual interests.
Graduates of the program will demonstrate competency in the six ACGME core areas.
