Overview
Postdoctoral fellows in the Institute for Integrated Behavioral Health develop clinical, team-based and leadership skills for careers in integrated health psychology. They serve on health care teams in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics/gynecology, take part in quality improvement projects, and supervise graduate students. Fellows also teach residents and medical students.
Training is tailored to each fellow’s goals, from leadership in integrated care to advanced skills in research, policy, assessment, pain management, health psychology or subspecialty integration.
The Institute for Integrated Behavioral Health is especially interested in recruiting fellows with an interest in starting their careers in Northeast Tennessee. We stay current on the region’s need for behavioral health providers and leaders and work with fellows from their first day to help connect them with permanent positions in this part of the country.
