ETSU Board celebrates record persistence rates, Police accreditation
East Tennessee State University (ETSU) reported its highest fall-to-spring persistence rates since 2020 during the quarterly meeting of the Board of Trustees held earlier today. More than 92% of fall 2024 students returned for the spring 2025 semester, with 90.4% of first-year students continuing their studies into the spring semester.
ETSU Board approves pay raises for employees
East Tennessee State University’s Board of Trustees approved across-the-board pay increases for full-time, benefits-eligible employees and committed an additional $3.2 million to bring employees’ salaries closer to market rates and comply with the new requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

ETSU Board of Trustees to hold quarterly meeting November 15
East Tennessee State University’s Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly meeting and several committee meetings on Friday, November 15. All meetings will be conducted in person at the D.P. Culp Student Center, East Tennessee Room.

ETSU Classes Canceled Through Friday, October 4
Given the ongoing emergency resulting from the devastation of Hurricane Helene, ETSU will extend the cancelation of in-person and online classes through Friday, October 4. The exception will be classes for Quillen College of Medicine, which will resume instruction on Thursday, October 3.
