Faculty Three-Minute Mixer
The faculty 3-Minute Mixer is an event occurring Wednesday, February 7th from 9-12.
Faculty are invited to the Culp Cave to share their research ideas in 3 minutes or
less. This event fosters networking and interdisciplinary collaborations by allowing
faculty to learn about research happening in a variety of fields in an informal and
friendly setting.
Spring Trailblazer Series
The Spring Trailblazer Series will occur on the 4th Tuesday of the month January through April from 12-1 in Room 219 in the Culp Center.
Appalachian Student Research Forum
The Forum is an annual event on April 10th in which dual enrollment, undergraduate,
graduate, recent graduate and medical students as well as post-doctoral fellows and
medical residents present their research and creative arts in a formal, juried setting.
The Forum is open to students from all colleges and universities within the southern
Appalachian region.

Faculty Three-Minute Mixer
The faculty 3-Minute Mixer is an all-day event occurring each semester in which faculty
are invited to share their research ideas in 3 minutes or less. This event fosters
networking and interdisciplinary collaborations by allowing faculty to learn about
research happening in a variety of fields in an informal and friendly setting. This
video recaps the first Fall 2023 event. The next 2023 event will occur October 4th.

Bern Melynk
ETSU is pleased to host Dr. Bern Melnyk for the inaugural Trailblazer Distinguished Lecture. Dr. Bern Melnyk is the Vice President for Health Promotion, University Chief Wellness Officer (the first at an institution of higher learning), Dean Emeritus and the Helene Fuld Health Trust Professor of Evidence-based Practice (EBP) at The Ohio State University. A frequent keynote speaker at national and international conferences, she has consulted with hundreds of healthcare systems and colleges worldwide on improving quality of care and patient outcomes by implementing and sustaining evidence-based practice.
Dr. Stephen Marshall
ETSU's Dr Stephen Marshall spoke to students and faculty on the importance of mastering research messaging. In this session, attendees learned how to communicate research through a "brand promise" lens.
