Student Senate
The Student Senate is the legislative body of the Student Government and is composed of Senators who are elected by the student body of ETSU, or appointed in compliance with the SGA Constitution.
Senators are the main line of communication between the student body and the Executive Branch. Senators hear concerns from their fellow students, write resolutions, bills, and acts, and serve on various SGA and University committees pertaining to all areas of ETSU operations.
Senators are elected in the spring semester to a one year term in the following academic year. Any vacant seats remaining after the general election are filled by SGA presidential appointment. Those appointments are noted below, since the office holders do not directly represent the colleges in which there are vacancies.
The Senate meets every other Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. beginning in fall 2025. Dates are

SGA Committees meet every other Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. beginning in fall 2025. Dates are TBD. Meetings are held in several locations on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the D.P. Culp Student center. Please email sgavpfa@etsu.edu for details.
