Emergency Notifications
The Division of Student Life and Enrollment office coordinates assistance for students and other constituents with traumatic events that may impact their lives such as an illness, death, or similar emergency. The includes assistance with locating a student on campus and help in contacting professors when there is an extended student absence due to such an emergency.
The Division does not approve or authorize class absences. Notice by our office is provided as a service to the student and the professor retain’s full rights to ask for related documentation and in their decision to handle the absence and any missed work/exams. Notice by the Division is not required or necessary for such approval.
