The objective of the EOC is to help adults obtain a high school equivalency and/or a college degree. Many people either stopped out of college or high school before obtaining a diploma or a degree, or who never started college, or often think about completing a degree. Most people "stop out" of college or high school or postpone college for one of the following reasons:
- Need to work to support a family
- Become a parent
- Family emergency or care for a relative
- Lost interest in school
- Other financial reasons

- Determine your educational goals - 4-year degree, 2 year degree, vocational-technical degree, or high school equivalency
- Visit area vocational training centers and colleges
- Brush up on test taking and study skills
- Find information on financial assistance including scholarships
- Complete college financial aid applications
