2025: 1st Quarter
After an eventful fall, we are excited to begin 2025 by celebrating one year of producing the Appalachian Highlands Economic Update! Our goal continues to be to provide you with insightful analysis and updates on the current economic landscape. We strive to keep you informed about economic factors influencing our region.
We are excited to announce that Dr. John Silvia will be speaking at the 3rd Annual Appalachian Highlands Economic Forum on Friday, March 14, 2025 in the Grand Hall of the Mary B. Martin Performing Arts Center on the ETSU campus. Dr. Silvia’s extensive resume includes serving as Chief Economist at Wells Fargo, senior economist for the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee and Chief Economist of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee. He has also authored multiple books on economics and financial decision-making. In addition to our faculty, we will also welcome other special guests for the forum including Barak Saltzman (Division President-DR Horton), Jeff Moorhouse (Clemmer College of Education/EDWorks), and four of our local chamber of commerce leaders. Tickets are free, and registration is now open.
We hope you will be able to join us. Thank you and Go Bucs!!
