Welcome to the 2025 Q4 edition of the Appalachian Highlands Economic Update. On campus, we are at midterm of the Fall semester. We have welcomed the second largest freshman class ever onto campus and an increasing number of Economics and Finance majors in our department. Planning for the 4th Annual Appalachian Highlands Economic Forum is under way and we are excited to announce that Tom Barkin, President and CEO of the Richmond Federal Reserve will be our keynote speaker for the Forum.
