Instructions for applicants not currently enrolled at ETSU:

- Once you are logged in, complete the required application.
- Documents needed to complete your application:
Transcripts – a confirmed Bachelor’s degree (minimum) is required for application to the graduate certificate nature-based therapy program. Unofficial transcripts can be used in the application; however, the application requires transcripts from all colleges or universities attended, including community colleges. You do not need to submit ETSU undergraduate and or graduate transcripts; the Graduate School will add those transcripts to your application.- Personal Statement - the personal statement must include a description of your interest in the certificate, any relevant personal, professional, and/or clinical experience (if applicable), and how you hope to utilize the training in practice. Applicants are also strongly encouraged to include information on their level of commitment to diversity and personal growth as it relates to competence in counseling and other helping professions.
- Two Letters of Recommendation - Letters can be provided from faculty, supervisors, co-workers, or other individuals who can speak to the qualities and characteristics that you possess that will serve as strengths as you pursue a graduate certificate in Nature-Based Therapy.
Instructions for currently enrolled at ETSU Graduate Students:
Send an email to Graduate School and copy Dr. Bethany Novotny indicating your interest in applying for the Nature-Based Therapy Graduate Certificate.- Currently enrolled graduate students do not pay an application fee for an additional program. Students who graduate before they apply, however, will pay a second application fee.

- Transcripts - for current students, the Graduate School will use the transcripts that were submitted for the application to your first program of study. If you have taken classes elsewhere while a student, you will need to add those transcripts.
