Continuing Education Units
Continuing education is required for workers to stay current with the latest developments, skills, and new technologies required for their fields. Overall, continuing education is considered a way for professionals to keep abreast of their fields so they don't lag behind. Many careers require continuing education. Therefore, CEUs are necessary for certain service related professionals like engineers, educators, lawyers, nurses, architects, mental health professionals, and financial planners who are often mandated by their accrediting body or institution to earn a certain number of CEU units for specific intervals. The primary purpose of the CEU is to provide a permanent record of the educational accomplishments of an individual who has completed significant non-credit educational and career enhancement experiences. Most conferences, workshops, courses, and seminars earn CEUs. CEU application costs $75 per event.
