Communications Infrastructure

The ETSU Facilities Communication Infrastructure Engineer ensures that infrastructure designs meet the needs of the institution, while complying with codes and standards set forth by the University and industry.  The engineer is also the lead communications designer on in-house renovation projects and is the primary technical point of contact for all external designers and consultants on Capital Projects.  In addition to many other duties, the Engineer participates and directs regular reviews with designers regarding cabling, pathway, and communication room designs; project budgets and expenses; and scheduling and service interruptions as well as the review and approval of shop drawings and product submittals.
