Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowships
EVENTS and DEADLINES:
The ETSU Fellowships are administered by the Honors College with funds made available from the Honors College and the Provost's office to support challenging research projects involving ETSU undergraduate students who are nearing graduation.
ANNOUNCEMENT: An external grant that had been supporting the Society Fellowships was not renewed and so will not be offered for summer 2020. However, the normal, internal "Traditional" ETSU Summer Fellowship program will continue to be offered.
INTENT: Funds support undergraduate students in completing an immersive summer research project .
FOR WHOM: Although any undergraduate can compete for a Fellowship, the program seeks to support primarily undergraduates who will graduate in the academic year that follows the summer project.
HOW MUCH: For ETSU Fellowships, the maximum award per grant is $3,500 ($3,000 in scholarship + $500 for supplies or research travel). For Society Fellowships, please refer to the "Addendum" link below.
CAVEAT: Students receiving the award MUST enroll for at least 1 credit hour during a summer session.
NOTE ABOUT TRAVEL: A separate award to support travel for undergraduate presentations at conferences exists.
