Institutional Review Board (IRB)
An Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a committee established to review research involving human subjects. All research that involves humans as participants requires IRB review and approval prior to initiation of the study. The primary purpose of IRBs is to protect the rights and welfare of human subjects involved in research under their authority. ETSU has established two IRBs to review research from the Main Campus, Medical Campus, and Quillen VA Medical Center. The ETSU/VA Medical and Campus IRBs are an important part of ETSU's Human Research Protection Program.
IRBManager has become OneAegis
On March 1st, IRBManager became OneAegis: a new and improved, user-friendly version of the same program. There are a few changes that researchers can expect to see:
- The dashboard is getting a makeover. The new dashboard will make accessing open studies, events, and xForms easier for users to check.
- The URL will change from etsu.irbmanager.com to etsu.oneaegis.com. If you currently have IRBManager bookmarked, you should get a redirect message to OneAegis, where you can update your bookmark. Our website will update all links as well.
