The Objective
The purpose of the New Employee Computer Project is to improve campus-wide technology by providing full time, permanent faculty and staff with up-to-date standard desktop computers at a reduced cost. Employee eligibility requirements:
- New-position employees
- Current employees using a computer with a warranty that expires before June 30 of the current fiscal year
The Process
Eligible employees with an existing desktop computer over four years old will be sent an email notification from the ITS Project Management Office stating the computer is due for replacement. Upon receiving the notification, the recipient must complete the New Employee Computer Replacement Request Form. ETSU will pay the replacement cost for a base level desktop PC up to $1,001. Any upgrades requested beyond $1,001 per the New Computer Configuration Options will be charged to the employee’s department.
