Volunteers are at the heart of what we do at the ETSU Martin Center. Whether you're a student, faculty or staff member, retiree, or community arts lover, we invite you to join a passionate team that helps create exceptional experiences for our patrons.

From Broadway tours and concerts to lectures and student productions, every performance relies on the welcoming presence and support of our trained volunteers.

• Why Volunteer? 

  As a Martin Center volunteer, you become an ambassador for the arts. You help us provide the warm, professional hospitality that keeps our patrons coming back. You'll serve in vital roles such as:

  • Greeting and seating guests as an usher
  • Guest Services and hospitality
  • Helping to distribute marketing materials in the community
  • Assisting with a variety of performance-related needs

  In short, you help create the magic that happens in and beyond the theatre.

• Who Can Vounteer?

  Volunteers must be 18 years or older and complete the required forms and training.
  We look for individuals who are:

  • Friendly, positive, and professional
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Comfortable working with diverse audiences
  • Passionate about the performing arts
• Training & Support

  We provide comprehensive training to help you feel confident and prepared. You'll learn about:

  • Your specific volunteer role
  • Patron interaction and customer service
  • Facility guidelines and safety procedures

  We match volunteers to positions based on interest, avalibility, and comfort level - no prior experienced required!
