Salary Limitation
NIH’s Guidance on Salary Limitation for Grants and Cooperative Agreements notice provides information regarding the salary limitation on direct salary for individuals involved in NIH grants, contracts and cooperative agreement awards. Effective January 2, 2022, the salary limitation for Executive Level II is $203,700. Biographical Sketch and Other Support
NIH requires updated Other Support and Biosketch Formats for application due dates and RPPR submissions on or after January 25, 2022. ORSPA advises all investigators involved in NIH-funded research to read NOT-OD-21-073 for details and download the Word Format pages for Other Support and Biosketches. The updated Other Support form must be converted to a PDF, and electronically signed by the investigator prior to submission. Please note that this process will change again as NIH transitions to use of SciENcv templates for Other Support. Applications submitted using Biosketches in the old format after January 25, 2022 may be withdrawn from consideration.
NSF Updates
Biographical Sketches Current and Pending Support Forms
NSF’s PAPPG 22-1, effective October 4, 2021, outlines changes to the Biographical Sketches Current and Pending Support Forms.
Notably, the Biographical Sketch page limit has been increased to three pages. There
are two approved methods for generating the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending
Support: 1) SciENcv or 2) the NSF fillable PDF, available online for both the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Support.
NSF has released a table, the NSF Pre-award and Post-award Disclosure Relating to the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending Support, to aide investigators in determining where to disclose certain information.
