Established in 2008, the Department of Sustainability continues to evolve and expand to better serve our campus community. The Department of Sustainability consists of two full-time staff members, a Graduate Assistant and a team of student workers (SustainabilityAmbassadors) that cover multiple areas of sustainability. Taylor Campbell
Sustainability Coordinator
Taylor Campbell is the Sustainability Coordinator for the ETSU Department of Sustainability. Taylor is from the Jonesborough, TN and holds a degree in plant sciences with a concentration in public horticulture, as well as a minor in food & agriculture business, from the University of Tennessee. Taylor is responsible for managing the Campus Sustainability Fee, Sustainability Ambassadors, and collaborating with other departments to improve ETSU's environmental footprint.

As ETSU'S Recycling Coordinator, Cathy oversees and facilitates recycling pickup and
drop-off programs on main campus as well as off-site locations in the Tri-Cities.
As a Johnson City native, Cathy is happy to help make a difference in her community
and provide an easy recycling solution to the residents of Washington County by keeping
our self-serve recycling area open and available at any time of day, every day of
the year.

As a graduate assistant in sustainability at ETSU, I'm passionate about creating a
positive impact on our campus and community. With a background in cybersecurity management,
in this role, I assist in collaborating with various departments to enhance ETSU's
environmental footprint. Through my dedication and skills in project management, data
protection, and problem-solving, I strive to contribute to a more sustainable future
for our university and beyond.
