The Bachelor of Arts in Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Roots Music Studies, offered by East Tennessee State University, is a major that focuses on the Appalachian region and culture; thus, it is not included in East Tennessee State University's music accreditation with the National Association of Schools of Music.
